Reproductive Racism

Updated: Oct 18, 2023

In recent weeks racism has been at the forefront of the news in many countries around the world.

Racism has always been an issue, however what sparked the recent global attention to the race issue was the murder of a man in America named George Floyd.

It was those chilling words “I can’t breathe” that haunted many and caused a global outrage which in turn provoked hundreds of protests and (some riots) across the globe to demand Justice and peace to be brought forward for his death and many others who have lost their lives due to racism.

Since we have become more involved in the pro-life movement, we have been learning and discovering more truths about abortion and how it started. And one of the things we have become aware of is the root cause of abortion and the agenda behind it that has led to millions of pre-born babies being killed (black babies in particular).

Racism has always been an issue by far, not just in America but here in the UK too.

Behind everything evil and sinister, there is always a root

What is the root cause that led to abortion?

Many of you may not know that the root behind abortion stemmed from racism. Abortion came from a group of people with a set of beliefs called Eugenics; some of you may not be that familiar with “eugenics” although it is likely that some of you may have encountered the effects of it in some way or another.

What is Eugenics?

Eugenics is a set of beliefs and practices that aim to improve the genetic quality of the human population, historically by excluding people and groups judged to be inferior and promoting those judged to be superior.

In other words the aim of eugenicists was to only allow people who they believed were intelligent, healthy and successful to be allowed to reproduce.

Anyone they deemed to be physically, mentally, or morally “undesirable” they believed should be eliminated through forced sterilization and segregation; these people were deemed “unfit to reproduce”

People who fitted this category were people with mental and physical disabilities; people with low IQ's, criminals and minority groups – this description is known as negative eugenics.

Eugenics is closely associated with “scientific racism” and “white supremacist” Consequently, this eugenics ‘ideal’ mainly targets black people and it was specifically designed to diminish the black population and this is exactly what it has done.

Is this what we call reproductive rights? This sounds like “reproductive racism” to me.

Forced Sterilization

Sterilization was supported by many eugenicists who believed this was a good method to rid the planet of the “unfit” this was done to stop women from being able to reproduce.

A victim of this “forced sterilization” was a lady called Elaine Riddick she spoke out about her experience of being forcibly sterilized after giving birth to her son at the age of 14.

Elaine was sterilized as a way to prevent her bearing more children so she wouldn't be a burden on the state and for many other outrageous reasons. This happened without her knowledge. In an interview she speaks about being "cut open like a hog" (You can watch her interview here).

Her story really struck a chord with me as it was my first time hearing of this and I didn’t know this actually happened.

Simply trying to stop people from reproducing as a way to limit the number of people being born, based solely upon a description of what is considered "undesirable" or "desirable" doesn't make sense, as who or what is considered desirable is subjective.

This is in fact discrimination at its core, it is an attack on a group of people who have been dehumanized because they do not fit someone else’s ideal. These tactics were used to exterminate an entire group of people who were put in a category.

After some time eugenicists were realising they were having little success using the term eugenics and carrying out forced sterilization, as people were becoming wiser and more aware of their beliefs and the discrimination behind them.

So what do you do when the agenda is no longer useful? You change strategy. How did the eugenicist achieve this? They hired people to do their dirty work instead and removed their names from the forefront in order to draw the attention away from them directly.

One of the people they hired to do their work for them was a lady named Margaret Sanger.

Who was Margaret Sanger?

Margaret Sanger was a birth control activist, sex educator, writer and nurse. Sanger was the one who popularised the term “birth control” she also opened her first birth control clinic in the United States and founded the American Birth Control League.

Sanger was described as a “birth control pioneer” as she advocated for women to receive birth control to prevent unwanted pregnancies. (But what many don’t know is Margaret Sanger was a racist eugenicist who sought to sterilise and exterminate the black population).

Margaret Sanger’s goal was to control the breeding of “inferior races” the “unfit” the “feeble” (as she called them) this is known as population control.

How did she achieve this?

Sanger achieved this through launching the organisation we now know as Planned Parenthood.

Planned Parenthood is an organisation that ends hundreds of thousands of unborn babies’ lives every year through abortion.

Did you know?

That white women are five times less likely to have an abortion than black women. Why is this? Well let’s just say Planned Parenthood is known to target poor black neighbourhoods where high rates of single parenthood prevail.

How do we know this?

A study by Protecting Black Lives, in 2012, found that 79 percent of Planned Parenthood’s surgical abortion facilities are located within walking distance of minority (mainly African American and Hispanic) communities.

These figures are shocking considering black women make up only 14 percent of the childbearing population. Yet, 36 percent of all abortions are obtained by black women. (Is it any wonder the figures are so high when they have abortion clinics within walking distance?)

These figures were released from a report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in 2011.

What’s interesting is a man named Mark Crutcher who is the President of Life Dynamic Incorporation stated in a documentary called Maafa 21 (we recommend you check it out as it gives a full breakdown of eugenics, racism and abortion) that when abortion was illegal the rates were higher for white women, however as soon as it became legal it became higher for black women.

Mark believes this is due to easy access leading to higher rates of abortion; he also added that “population control was used as a weapon of black genocide” (black genocide is a term used to describe the deliberate killing of the black community in large numbers).

Since 1973 and Roe vs Wade supreme Court ruling, legal abortion has killed more African-Americans than AIDS, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and violent crime combined. Every week more black babies die in American abortion clinics than were born in the entire Vietnam War.

Overall 62 million abortions have taken place in the USA (That equates to nearly the full population of the UK).

19 million of those aborted are black babies. Again considering African Americans only equate to 14 percent of the United States population these numbers are astoundingly high - these figures clearly show the impact abortion is having on minorities.

And may I add that the largest chain of abortion clinics in the United States is operated by Planned Parenthood (Talk about strategic positioning).

Abortion is the leading killer of black babies in the USA

Eugenics wasn’t only behind abortion in America but in the UK too.

The actual term “Eugenics” was given by a man named Francis Galton who was born in the UK, He was the cousin of Charles Darwin (the man behind the natural selection theory) the abortion chain in the UK we now know as Marie Stopes is also named after a well-known Eugenicist so again you can see the connections here.

Margaret Sanger and Marie Stopes may not have performed abortions in their lifetime (as far as we know) However It doesn’t negate the fact that abortions are being carried out in their name and in the organisations they created with a purpose to kill and destroy anyone they deemed to be inferior.

Margaret Sanger may have not openly admitted to this agenda to target black and other minorities, however she did affiliate herself with a well-known white supremacist group called the Ku klux Klan aka “KKK” (she describes her meeting with them in her autobiography) and there are many sources that have quoted her talking about black people in a disparaging way.

Sadly so many people don’t realize what is behind abortion. There are many different views on it; very conflicting views and I can imagine the majority of supporters of abortion never knew that “Eugenics” and “Racism” are connected to abortion.

Aborting anyone of any race is so desperately sad and tragic; it’s something that can be very hurtful and traumatic to the women going through the procedures as well as the unborn children.

Abortion is seen as freedom or a way out of a bad situation for lots of people, but that is totally the opposite of what it actually is. There is no freedom when you fall into a trap (disguised as reproductive rights) that was designed to destroy your legacy.

With that being said we cannot ignore the fact that abortion is the leading killer of black people above any other race and whilst black people have to deal with systemic racism, institutionalised racism, economic racism and more.

They also continuously have to fight for the fundamental right to be treated equally by other races; and as much as the discrimination against black people has been brought to the forefront right now, we cannot neglect the most innocent of them all – the ones in the womb.

This is not the time for us to shrink back, this is the time for us to extend this outrage to fight for the most vulnerable out of the group; those who cannot speak up for themselves, who cannot fight or defend themselves, who have no voice, and have been targeted before they are even formed in the womb.

Choose Life Ministries believes in loving and respecting every one in every race and we believe there should be no partiality to one or the other.

We are all God’s children and He made us all different and unique for a purpose - because He loves variety. I believe God made us all different so we can celebrate our differences not segregate because of them.

Love is the only antidote to any type of discrimination including racism.

As a ministry who believes that life begins at conception we choose to speak up about this issue; we cannot stay silent. We will all be held accountable one day for the things we saw and did nothing about.

Rescue those who are led away to death; hold back those staggering towards slaughter. If you say, “But we knew nothing about this,” does not he who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not he who guards your life know it? Will he not repay everyone according to what they have done? Proverbs 24:11-12

Love is the only antidote to any type of discrimination including racism.

This is why we will always choose Love over hate.

Love & Blessings,

Choose Life Ministries
